The Spanish company Grupo Clavijo has completed the delivery of horizontal axis trackers for a 25 MW solar photovoltaic installation in California (USA). These trackers (designed and manufactured by the company) have been selected by the park´s promoters for their easy adaptation to the land, durability and versatility to suit the specific needs of the project. Once connected, the energy produced is equivalent to the electricity consumed by more than 22,000 inhabitants, avoiding the release of over 87,000 tons of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere. With this new project, Grupo Clavijo strengthens its presence in the USA and continues its world-wide expansion with more than 280 MW installed.

The Grupo Clavijo, a Spanish company, will be sponsoring the Solar Latin America convention in Santiago de Chile (Chile) on 29-30 November, 2012. During the two-day event, the Grupo Clavijo will participate in expert round table discussions, technical conferences and business meetings with the main players of the international solar sector. The convention offers developers, manufacturers and EPC companies a unique opportunity to learn about the latest and most innovative solutions, products and services for the expansion of the international solar market.

The Spanish company Grupo Clavijo has completed work on a new solar photovoltaic park in Cáceres (Spain). Specifically, single-axis trackers designed and manufactured by the international company have been used. This new park will generate 11.5 Mw of power, enough to provide energy to more than 10,000 inhabitants, preventing the emission of more than 40,000 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere per year. The solar farm covers an area of 40 hectares, equivalent to 40 football fields. This project confirms the quality of the single-axis trackers designed by the company, characterised by their resilience, simple installation and low maintenance. With more than 220 Mw installed throughout the world, Grupo Clavijo is today a benchmark in the photovoltaic market for structures and solar trackers.

The Spanish company Grupo Clavijo has finalized the installation work for the 2 Mw –La Joya del Sol– solar photovoltaic park in Fresno, California. Specifically, the project uses horizontal-axis trackers, which are characterized by their resistance and safety, along with a high yield. This project, located in one of the areas of the United States with the most sulight, furthers the company´s expansion into this country, where it has already installed two-axis trackers. Grupo Clavijo´s quality is backed by the TÜV-NORD structural safety certificate for structures, as well as the bankability report (Technical Due Diligence) issued by the prestigious firm Black & Decker Veatch. This gives Grupo Clavijo´s world customers backing and a first-class guarantee when obtaining financing for solar photovoltaic projects in any country.

THE GRUPO CLAVIJO ACHIEVES THE DUE DILIGENCE REPORT FOR ITS POLAR TRACKER AND FIXED STRUCTURES This backing will involve the financing of photovoltaic projects that include products made by this company. The Spanish company Grupo Clavijo ELT, S.L. has obtained the technical Due Diligence report for its horizontal polar tracker and all fixed structure models for the solar photovoltaic market. The report, which was drawn up by the prestigious North American firm Black & Veatch (B&V), a company renowned around the world for its rigour, independence and knowledge of the sector, gives Grupo Clavijo world customers backing and a top class guarantee when obtaining financing for solar photovoltaic projects in any country. The Due Diligence report places the Grupo Clavijo among the small number of firms in the sector of structure and tracker manufacturers around the world, and drives the development of new international projects. It particularly benefits EPC contractors and promoters of the solar photovoltaic market for which it will now be a benchmark supplier.

Spanish company Grupo Clavijo has finished installing a new 5.3 Mw photovoltaic solar power farm in Bonnat, France. In this project, single post structures (with 3 x 20 meters panels) have been installed on a total of 12.5 hectares. Grupo Clavijo will be installing a further 150 Mw in America and Europe during 2012.

The Spanish company Grupo Clavijo has developed a new assembly solution for photovoltaic solar installations on roofs and decks, which provides excellent quality for the price. The system is adaptable to all types of surfaces (concrete counterweight, tile roof, profiled sheet, sandwich panel, etc.), including both coplanar (basic or composite) and inclined (basic, diagonal, or saw) solutions. Each kit is custom made to the client’s order. This new system, created by a professional multidisciplinary team, provides the best guarantees both in terms of the material used (aluminium alloy grid cores 6063 and 6005), and the finished product (APPLUS Certification taking into account current legislation regarding wind speed of up to 150 km/h, snow loads and rain puddling on decks). NEW 1.300 KW PHOTOVOLTAIC PLANT AT TWO GREENHOUSES IN GRANADA (SPAIN) The Spanish company Grupo Clavijo designed and manufactured all the elements of the photovoltaic structure for two greenhouses located in Granada province, Spain. Each plant covers a surface area of 24,000 m2 (48,000 m2 in total) and will produce 1300 kW of completely clean power. C-shaped steel profiles were used for the portal frames of the structure as well as for the belts and conduits. The cables are installed in conduits that rest on the base structure of the greenhouse, meaning that no trenches needed to be excavated. This new project highlights the broad applications of Grupo Clavijo’s range of structures for photovoltaic installations, which are added to the new assembly kit for photovoltaic roof and deck installations, now available. The Spanish company Grupo Clavijo, with a global presence, has developed the broadest range of fixed structures and solar trackers for photovoltaic installations on the market.

The project, carried out by the company OHL Industrial Power, involves the installation of 1.4 Mw of simple coplanar aluminium structures on the roof of a Guadalajara (Spain) logistics company. These rooftop structures have been put through many tests in the laboratories of the certifying body APPLUS, checking their resistance to 130km/h winds, heavy snow and rain.
