New assembly kit for photovoltaic roof and deck installations.

Tuesday May 18th, 2010

The Spanish company Grupo Clavijo has developed a new assembly solution for photovoltaic solar installations on roofs and decks, which provides excellent quality for the price. The system is adaptable to all types of surfaces (concrete counterweight, tile roof, profiled sheet, sandwich panel, etc.), including both coplanar (basic or composite) and inclined (basic, diagonal, or saw) solutions. Each kit is custom made to the client’s order. This new system, created by a professional multidisciplinary team, provides the best guarantees both in terms of the material used (aluminium alloy grid cores 6063 and 6005), and the finished product (APPLUS Certification taking into account current legislation regarding wind speed of up to 150 km/h, snow loads and rain puddling on decks). This makes it possible to offer a 12 year product warranty. The solution is delivered with all necessary material for quick assembly, including personalised plans showing how to do it. As always Grupo Clavijo guarantees on-time delivery with its integral logistical management.

The European companies which install and promote photovoltaic solar parks are still committed to the solar tracker technology of Grupo Clavijo. In Greece a total of 600 Kw are being installed in various areas of the country: Salonica, Peloponeso and Crete. 200 Kw will use the advanced SR25 dual axis tracker characterised by its great performance and reliability. Another 400 Kw will use the SC05 single axis tracker which combines simplicity and productivity. Grupo Clavijo is continuing to expand in Europe where it has various developments in progress as well as in the USA.

New 1.300 Kw photovoltaic plant at two greenhouses in Granada (Spain)

New 1.300 Kw photovoltaic plant at two greenhouses in Granada (Spain)

Monday May 18th, 2009

NEW 1.300 KW PHOTOVOLTAIC PLANT AT TWO GREENHOUSES IN GRANADA (SPAIN) The Spanish company Grupo Clavijo designed and manufactured all the elements of the photovoltaic structure for two greenhouses located in Granada province, Spain. Each plant covers a surface area of 24,000 m2 (48,000 m2 in total) and will produce 1300 kW of completely clean power. C-shaped steel profiles were used for the portal frames of the structure as well as for the belts and conduits. The cables are installed in conduits that rest on the base structure of the greenhouse, meaning that no trenches needed to be excavated. This new project highlights the broad applications of Grupo Clavijo’s range of structures for photovoltaic installations, which are added to the new assembly kit for photovoltaic roof and deck installations, now available. The Spanish company Grupo Clavijo, with a global presence, has developed the broadest range of fixed structures and solar trackers for photovoltaic installations on the market.

The Clavijo Group finalises the installation of the Zuera 11.5 mw photovoltaic park (Zaragoza, Spain).

Monday May 18th, 2009

The Spanish Grupo Clavijo has completed work on a new solar photovoltaic installation in the town of Zuera (Zaragoza, Spain). The single-axis trackers designed and manufactured by the international company make up part of this park which will generate 11.5 Mw of power, enough to provide energy to more than 10,000 inhabitants, preventing the emission of more than 40,000 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere per year. The solar farm covers an area of 30 hectares, equivalent to 30 football fields. The Grupo Clavijo designs and manufactures the widest range of fixed structures and trackers for the solar photovoltaic market. Its products are used in plants in America, Europe and Asia.

Guadalajara (Spain) Grupo Clavijo installs 1.4 mw of rooftop photovoltaic structures

Sunday May 18th, 2008

The project, carried out by the company OHL Industrial Power, involves the installation of 1.4 Mw of simple coplanar aluminium structures on the roof of a Guadalajara (Spain) logistics company. These rooftop structures have been put through many tests in the laboratories of the certifying body APPLUS, checking their resistance to 130km/h winds, heavy snow and rain. Grupo Clavijo´s photovoltaic structures for rooftops are adaptable to all types of surfaces (concrete counterweight, tile roof, profiled sheet, sandwich panel, etc.), including both coplanar (basic or composite) and inclined (basic, diagonal, or saw) solutions. All structures are custom made to the client´s order. Grupo Clavijo offers the widest range of structures and trackers on the market, with more than 250 Mw installed world-wide.
